Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a wife, mother and grandmother.

About Me

I like to quilt, read, genealogy research, watch Hallmark movies, hike mtn. trails and spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was about 8 years old my friends and I would sometimes talk about Bible stories, like Moses and Abraham, we heard in church on Sunday. As we talked I would wonder why we didn't have prophets today to help us like they did in Bible times. Then one day two L.D.S. Missionaries knocked on our door and taught my mother and I about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I learned that we do have a prophet on the earth today because the Lord cares about His children today just as He did long ago. I also learned where I came from, why I'm here and where I'm going and the eternal nature of families. Knowing these truths gave me direction and purpose to my life as a young person growing up in an ever changing world and later as a mother teaching my children. These truths and many others I have found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints continues to help me meet my challenges in our world today.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good neighbor and help someone each day if only to give a ride when needed. I strive to keep the commandments and when I fall short I ask for forgiveness and try again, one day at a time. I attend church on Sunday to partake of the Sacrament and get my spiritual battery charged for the coming week.
