Hi I'm Chris.

I'm a husband and father. I work as a structural engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Spending time with my wife and children--talking, playing, working or relaxing--is what I enjoy doing most. I love my family and I love being a husband and father. Some of my interests include biking, hiking, tennis, playing guitar and reading. I get a lot of personal satisfaction from working as a professional structural engineer. Collaborating with architects, contractors and other engineers to create buildings can be a stimulating experience. Every building has its own unique challenges and I learn something new from each project. It's kind of neat to to point to buildings as I drive around the city with my family and be able to say, "hey, I worked on that one!"

Why I am a Mormon

In John chapter 6 when Jesus asked his apostles, "will ye also go away?" they answered, "Lord, to whom shall we go?" I feel the same way. I know this is Christ's true Church so I'm here to stay. I have found that the Church has everything that I and my family need to find happiness in this life and to prepare to meet God in the next.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the leadership of one of the priesthood quorums in my ward. A quorum is an organization of men who all hold the same priesthood office (i.e. deacon, priest, elder). Being a member of a quorum is a great blessing. It's encouraging to be surrounded by brethren who care about my welfare and who have the same values as I do. Besides being a brotherhood, a priesthood quorum is a service unit. Working together we can do more to bless the lives of others than an individual could do alone. So this is one way that I live my faith, by strengthening my quorum brothers and serving with them in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
