Hi I'm Laura

I was born and raised in Indianapolis. I work as an office manager. I love to spend time in nature. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was grew up in the inner city and worked hard to overcome a life of poverty. I met the man of my dreams when I was 17 and got married when I was 19, one year after I started college. I earned my degree and am now working to put my husband through college. While we do not have children yet we hope to soon. I enjoy painting and being creative. My husband and I enjoying hiking and camping and being in nature. We also enjoy planning and doing home improvement and decoration projects.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS Church. My parents converted when they were in their 20's shortly before they started having children. While I did grow up in the church I chose to stay in the church because I know this is the true church of God. When I was 13 my best at church decided she did not want to be my friend anymore. How I live my faith

I work with the 8 to 11 year old girls in my congregation. I help plan and do a bi monthly week day activity that teaches them new skills and doctrine. We try to make it fun and interesting. I also do visiting teaching. This a program that pairs with another woman in my congregation. We then visit certain women in our congregation every month. We check on how they are doing and see if they need anything. This almost always develops into strong, lasting friendships.
