Hi I'm Todd

I'm a father of 4. I'm married to a wonderful woman. I love running, mountain biking, and serving others... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, so here's a little about me. I grew up in Vancouver, WA. When I turned 19 I went to Jacksonville, FL to serve 2 years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I met so many awesome people there, and it helped me grow as a young man in maturity (which I needed desperately) and in my faith. Soon after my mission I moved to Phoenix, AZ where I met my wife, swept her off her feet, and married her. We've been happily married now for 9 years with 4 little girls (2 ballerinas, 1 cheerleader, and 1 monkey). I absolutely love being a dad. Am I good at it? Well, I'm working on it. I graduated from DeVry University this year with a business degree in security management, and I'm currently attending Keller graduate school to graduate in February of next year with an MBA in human resources. This year I also starting working as the Assistant Treasurer for my families non-profit foundation, TGFF. Something else is that some of my friends and I are training for the Tough Mudder competition which has been a lot of fun. As far as personal interests I really enjoy mountain biking, running, hanging out with my kids and taking my wife out on dates. She means the world to me and I don't show her that too often. She has helped me see a different side of life and who I can become. I like to work hard. I enjoy life. I have goals and passions. Life is busy, but God has really helped me find a way to make it all happen...and yes, I'm a Mormom.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly, I grew up in the church. My parents are both converts, but I was born and raised into it. Why am I still a Mormom? Because I believe it to be the true church of Jesus Christ. As I have strived to live as I am taught my life is filled with joy and love. When I pray I feel God is near and listening to me. Now, I realize these things don't make me any different than many other faithful members of other faiths; however, I have felt the power of the Holy Ghost testify to me that this is the true church. I have been to other churches. I have felt goodness come from their pulpets. I have many wonderful friends that love God and do wonderful things in their life - many times much better than I do. But I always rely on the feelings that I receive from God when He and I talk. Now, when I am asked to do something in the church or get questioned about my faith or mocked that I am a member it really doesn't matter. I know that I am where I'm supposed to be and I am loyal to that. Do I still sin? You know it. Do I feel I'm a shining example of my Savior all the time? Not at all. But what I do know is that WHEN I do what is right and follow God's plan I am happy. And to me that is God tapping me on the shoulder and saying, "Good job Todd, I'm proud of you." And that's why I am a Mormom.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church. For many years I've been able to teach and develop men in our faith to become better husbands, fathers and assist them to make better choices. I just recently received a new calling (job) in our church to serve as the Ward Mission Leader. This means I get to work with the full-time missionaries and lead the missionary efforts in our ward area. I am really looking forward this because I love to share with others the things that mean so much to me. In other capacities I enjoy helping out with moving families in and out of our area as well as attend ward dinners and parties. Socializing is fun and enjoyable to me and I'm really glad to have a great ward family to mingle with.

How can I know Mormonism is true?
