Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a husband, a proud father of 4, a sales engineer and a sports enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Colorado and was raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I went to college at Brigham Young University and served a church mission in Fukuoka Japan. I was married right before my senior year of college and now have four beautiful children between the ages of 10 and 2. I graduated college with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I spent 5 years as a hardware design engineer and am now doing technical sales engineering for a small rep company in Colorado. In my spare time, I love doing anything related to sports. I play basketball and softball. I coach anything that I can talk my kids into participating in and I make it a priority to watch any BYU football or basketball games that I can find on TV. I also like to get out on a wakeboard when I can find some time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was taught the gospel of Jesus Christ by my parents and teachers at church from a young age. I feel like my Heavenly Father has helped me to understand that the things that I was taught were true and that I could find happiness by following those teachings. Because of that, I've always had a desire to follow the example of Jesus and do what I know is right even though I fall short at times. When I was nineteen years old and preparing to serve a mission, I felt like I needed to know for sure that taking that huge step was what my Heavenly Father wanted me to do. When praying and pondering about that topic at that time, I had a wonderful experience where I felt the overwhelming love of my Savior, Jesus Christ. From that time, I knew that serving a mission was the right thing for me to do. That experience has been an anchor for me throughout my life. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and for each of us. I know that the Book of Mormon is God's word. I've been so blessed in my life and I credit that to a loving Heavenly Father. Through His Son, Jesus Christ, I can overcome my weaknesses and realize the potential that I have as a Child of God. I'm so grateful for my membership in His church.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith and follow the example of Jesus everyday. Serving others is a big part of that effort. I spend time volunteering as a sports coach in our community. I work with the church youth group. I believe that even small acts of kindness can make a big deal in people's lives. That's what the Savior was all about when he lived on the earth. I've been blessed with so much that it's important that I do what I can to give back and help others have the same opportunities that I have had.
