Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of two and one on the way. I love horses. I share a wonderful relationship with a very loving husband. And i feel very blessed to have been born in the LDS church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church. I am so glad too, it has helped me in every way and in all stages of my life. The closer I become to Christ the more I feel his love for me and for others. He has always been there for me and my family helping me in every step of the way.

How I live my faith

Our church is very devoted to service. If we are trying to be like Christ this is what we must do. Christ's entire life was service. I love to serve in every way I can, I always feel a comfort and a sense of purpose when I do. There is no better way to help bring back peace and happiness into your life then to serve others. The LDS church is entirely organized and ran by service no one is paid. I have helped in many areas with the youth, with music, helped organize group events and much more, and every time in some way shape or form my life is blessed by the people i meet, the things I learn and the time I spend serving.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Our bodies are gifts from God. God knows what is best for our bodies and whats is not. There are some things like alcohol, tobacco, drugs and some chemicals in teas and coffee that can weaken our bodies defenses, cloud our decisions, and make our bodies sick or ill. We are not forced in any way to not partake of these things. As God has given us the gift of agency, but if we do not use them we are promised to have healthy bodies spiritually and physically. As a mother, I want the best things for my children and God our Heavenly Father wants this too. There are even warnings on the outside of packages warnings of birth defects, I have to think to myself if this would effect an unborn child what would it be doing to the inside of my body. I have chosen to follow this law in keeping my body clean from all drugs, tobacco, alcohol, and the harmful chemicals in coffees and teas, and I have always been healthy, I have healthy children and I have countless blessings of health spiritually and physically. Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Being called a "Morman" is a nickname given to us because we have the Book of Morman which we also believe to be a word of God along with the Bible. Our real name is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and sometime you will hear it shortened into LDS or Latter Day Saints. We are actually asked to not refer to ourselves as "Mormans" as it is not our correct name. Show more Show less
