Hi I'm Kim

I live in Washington, grew up in California, work as a doctor, and have 7 children and, so far, 8 grandkids.

About Me

I'm a dad and grandpa most of the time, make time to serve in the church, and spend my spare time practicing medicine. We love to spend time on the boat during the warm months of the year, skiing in the winter, and visiting the grand children and kids in Utah and Idaho or have them visiting us. The best times of my life have been spent with family and friends. I have some great kids and a wonderful wife. I was raised in California, met my wife there, raised our children in St. Louis, California, Germany, and now in Washington. We have loved much about each area where we have lived and cherish the people and friends we've made the most. The one constant that has remained our anchor is this wonderful Church and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because of a personal conviction that it teaches the true doctrine and gospel of Jesus Christ. Nothing brings me greater happiness than feeling close to the Savior and learning to know Him as much as possible. I have always known that the Mormon Church, or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is His Church. I love the whole church, but regardless of any of the sociality of it, I am in the Church because of Him and there is no other way to get closer to and know Jesus Christ better.

How I live my faith

First and foremost, I try to live my faith by being a good person, husband, and father. I know if I am none of those everything else is a waste of time. I also feel it's important for me to try to be a friend to others, where I live, at work, everywhere. As a bishop in the Church, I am pretty busy with serving the needs of the local congregation in my area where I live. It is a constant source of joy and happiness to be close to the people and do all that I can to do as Jesus would like with the running of our meetings and activities in this area.
