Hi I'm Debbie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am have been married for 37 years and have three daughters and ten grandchildren. My family is the joy of my life. I love to create. I love to make crafts and sew, I also love to read, teach, travel, be with friends, serve others but most of all be with my family. I have a college degree in Elementary Education and feel that it has been a great help to me in raising my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life. I was baptized when I turned 8 years old. My father got baptized on that same day. My amazing mother was already a member and had taken us to Church every week. There was such a difference in our family after my father's conversion. Even as a child it was very obvious to me. I am who I am because of my membership in the Church. My faith and testimony guide me each and every day. The principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints just make sense to me. Such as the principle of having a living prophet. Why would there be prophets and apostles in ancient days and not be prophets and apostles today? The church that Jesus Christ set up when He lived on the earth is the same church that I belong to today. We lived in heaven with our Heavenly Father before we came to this earth. We came to this earth to learn and grow and prove ourselves and we will return to live with our Heavenly Father after our turn on earth is completed. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I know that without Him, it would not be possible to return and live with Heavenly Father. My personal relationship with my Savior gives my life meaning and happiness. I also know that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are separate and individual beings. I know that families are eternal. This principle alone makes me want to strive to be my very best self so that I can be with my family for all eternity.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day. My faith in Jesus Christ and His plan is what motivates me in everything I do. I am so grateful for the power of prayer and power of His priesthood on this earth. I see miracles and blessings every day in my life as I am guided by the Spirit For many years I have worked with the children and youth of the Church. I have found my service to be very fulfilling and I absolutely love working with the young people. It is great to be involved in their lives and help them strengthen their faith and realize their full potential. The organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is amazing. There is an organization for the men of the church and among many other important responsibilities they are given the responsibility to watch over several families and make sure that all of their needs are being met. There is an organization for all of the women in our Church and one of the great aspects of this organization is that each of us are assigned to watch over several women and make sure that all of their needs (physical, emotional and spiritual) are being met. Likewise, there are organizations for the young children, and youth of the Church. Each organization fulfills a specific purpose and gives all of us many opportunities to serve one an other. With each opportunity to serve I grow in understanding and love for those whom I serve. I not only grow to understand them but I also grow to understand myself better. Serving and helping one another is what this life is all about.
