Hi I'm Carin

I am a daughter, sister, wife, mom, friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Texas but live in Colorado now with my husband and our two kids. I love the mountains. I will always be a Texas girl but I have to say that Colorado has become a home for me and my family. Motherhood has become my fulltime job and I love it. If someone had asked me 13 years ago if I wanted to have kids, I would have told them no way. I saw myself being a career woman. I majored in Anthropology with the intent to do archeaology. I was going to travel the world, finding artifacts of past lives. All of that changed when two missionaries and several friends shared the gospel with me. I continue to learn the importance of family. I love my life and would not change the path I chose for anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church for 12 years and have a peace in my life that I think I had always been searching for. The overwhelming feelings that give me this peace are undeniable. I was raised in a wonderful Christian home where I learned about God and how Jesus died for our sins. I have never had an issue with faith; but, so many questions that I had growing up were unanswered. Things like where we came from and what will happen after this life. After I joined the church I felt like I could really feel the love that our Heavenly Father has for each of us. Knowing that our Heavenly Father loves each of us individually gives me so much joy and again the peace that I mention above. Prayer has also become more meaningful. I feel closer to our Heavenly Father than I ever thought possible. I am just so thankful for this gospel that has given me direction in my life.

How I live my faith

I work with children in our ward and share with them how they can enjoy the many things that our Heavenly Father has promised each of us. Daily prayer and reading the scriptures also help me continue to learn, as well as listening to the Prophet who guides us in these latter days. Serving others helps me grow and give me strength that I never knew I had.
