Hi I'm Wendy

I live in So. California and work in the Party Planning business. I am a Wife, Mother, Grandma, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Southern California! I married my junior high school sweetheart and have been married for 32 years! I have three sons and one daughter. I have recently entered a new phase in life . . . an empty nester. This happened when my youngest son left to serve as a missionary in Argentina! Thank goodness I am now “Woo Woo” to my one and only grandchild (with two more on the way)! I absolutely love being a mother, and am finding that being a grandma is even better! I work in the party business and love planning and throwing parties! It has been a fun business to have while raising a family! Lots of parties! Outside of work you’ll find me fussing around my home cooking, cleaning, and organizing! I’m kind of a homebody and am most happy when all of the family is under one roof! I hope to be the kind of woman who, when my feet hit the floor in the morning the Devil says . . “Oh no, she’s up!”

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to have been born into an LDS family! I had wonderful parents that loved me and created a safe haven for me to grow up in. They made sure we were taught the gospel of Jesus Christ both at church and in the home. As I grew and matured, I developed a solid testimony of my own. Through study, prayer, and personal experiences, I have come to know these things to be true. It has been my desire to give my own family what I was given. I wanted to create a home where my husband and children could come at the end of the day and feel safe. I wanted our home to be a refuge from the world, where the gospel was not only taught, but lived. This to me was my most important job! The Gospel of Jesus Christ has given me the tools and knowledge to help me do this. I believe we have been sent to this earth to be tested, and I am determined to pass this test. I am grateful for Modern day Prophets and leaders who receive revelation from our Heavenly Father, and give us the guidance and direction we need to help us navigate our way through this sometimes conflicted world! I am trying to live my life so that it will allow me to be reunited with all of my family in the hereafter. It is my greatest desire in life, thus, the quote which I have requested to have engraved on my tombstone when I die . . “Please, no empty chairs.” A little reminder to all those I love that I’ll have a chair ready for them at that grand table in heaven, and I want them all to be there!

How I live my faith

“Church is who we are, not where we go.” Being a Mormon is not just a Sunday thing. It’s a way of life. It should be evident by the way we dress, the things we say, the things we eat and drink, and by the things we do. It should show by the way we handle adversity and trials. It should be apparent by our commitment to be obedient to all of God’s commandments. I know if we are keeping the commandments and serving others that we will be happy and our lives will be blessed. I am trying to live my life so that there isn’t any question as to whether or not I believe. I don’t want there to ever be any room for question. I’m not perfect, I’m not even close, but I get fresh start every day. I am grateful for the life and example of our Savior. As I continue to grow & know him I can strive to become more like him, and in doing so, be a source of light and inspiration to those around me . . . “You’re life is your message to the world. Make sure it’s inspiring.”
