Hi I'm Kahau

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and children tell me I have a great and loving family. I agree. When I go to work, serve in church, helping clients, or helping members of the ward, I am thinking of them and know that if I work hard and serve others that my family will be blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is good for my life; and the lives of my family members. I am held to a high standard, and so are my Mormon friends. That common standard binds us together and helps us support each other when times become discouraging. Those same friends help reinforce the high standards we have for our children. I expect them to work hard, study and learn, and to be honest with their fellow men. Being surrounded by great examples and people who strive for the same goals helps my children see that living a high standard is rewarding and brings peace and happiness into the lives of those who live it. As the world has become increasingly more complicated, Christ's love and Christ's ways have remained the same; simple. I am grateful for having His gospel in my life and in the lives of my family members, for the peace and joy that comes from following his ways, and for the security that I have in knowing that my family can be together forever. That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I get to help fellow members of our congregation when their financial, spiritual, or social lives are out of sorts. Mostly I listen and at times, I give advice. Of the members that I help, I am most satisfied when I'm able to help the youth. Watching them develop, struggle, and overcome (and eventually become stronger) is both humbling and awesome. This world has become increasingly complex and watching them navigate the advances in technology and the constant media bombardment that I didn't have to experience is special and makes me appreciate them more for being so valiant. I try to be just as valiant by praying often by myself and together with my family. I read the scriptures for guidance and peace, and I try to serve others in the best way that I can.
