Hi I'm Katie

I grew up in southern California. I am a wife, a mother of 2 children, and I work part time as a dental hygienist. I am a Mormon

About Me

My name is Katie and I am the fourth child out of six in my family. I was born and raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have always enjoyed academics, reading, and spending time with my family. I met my husband online, shortly after he returned from serving his mission. I finished school to work as a registered dental hygienist. I enjoy working closely with people and helping them. We have two young children. I am focused on finding ways to stay organized, balanced, and to learn to cook better. One of my own personal goals is to run a marathon. We don't have a lot of free time, but I enjoy watching movies, camping, taking walks with my family, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I have never doubted the feelings that have come to me when considering the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have felt the confirmation of my testimony of these things in my heart and in my mind. I know that the gospel brings peace and happiness to my life. I am grateful for the promise of having an eternal family. I am grateful to know that our Heavenly Father knows me and hears my prayers. I have received answers to my prayers, which just adds strength to my testimony of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I attend church weekly in addition to serving as a counselor in the woman's organization, Relief Society. I am responsible for overseeing the coordination of Relief Society activities and weekday meetings. As a visiting teacher I am assigned to visit a couple of ladies in their homes. I have the opportunity to develop strong personal relationships through this service. We are able to discuss physical, temporal, and spiritual matters. I look for ways to serve these women as needed, as well as provide a monthly spiritual lesson. In return I have developed many wonderful friendships. I also try to attend and support as many activities provided by the church as possible. Many of these activities are social events and are a wonderful way to build unity, as well as introducing friends to the church. I strive to live my faith in all I do and say. I try to live righteously and to be an example to those I come into contact with daily. It is always my intention to continue to study my scriptures, pray, and participate in family discussions to teach my children about their Father in Heaven.
