Hi I'm Kristi

I wear many hats...that of a wife, mother, grandmother and friend...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an individual that loves life and loves spending time with my family. I have 5 grown children and 11 grandchildren. I love to visit them, go new places, see new things, and just interact with them. I play the piano and have taught piano lessons for many, many years. I enjoy working with youth and seem to have a bond with them. (Maybe I have just never grown up myself!) I have loved staying at home while my children were growing up, and now love having the freedom to go and spend time with my grandchildren. I can cook, clean, sew...all the domestic things, but am more happy reading, writing blogs, being out in my yard, or spending time with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon church. I was taught from a very young age to pray, to listen to the spirit and how to grow spiritually. I have wonderful parents that have lived a good life and set a wonderful example to me of service and love. While in my youth, I too studied the scriptures and prayed, and I was blessed to have that overwhelming feeling that what I was learning and practicing was indeed true. I love having the gospel in my life, with wonderful values to raise my children, with the multitude of blessings I have had throughout my life, that help buoy me up when times are hard, that sustain me in every hard thing I've had to go through. I know this is the true church of God.

How I live my faith

I attend church and church activities regularly. I participate in weekly worship services and feel the spirit as we renew promises to our Heavenly Father. I love working with the youth of the church and have had many opportunities to serve them and teach them the things I know to be true. I try to live my life so that others can be encouraged by my example, and I try to help those around me in any way that I can. As one of our Articles of Faith teaches..."If there is anything virtuous or praiseworthy, we seek after these things" I try daily to seek after things that I can do to serve my Heavenly Father and my fellow friends and neighbors.
