Hi I'm Joel

I'm a musician. I enjoy the good things in life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Music is one of my biggest hobbies. I love listening to all genres of music, but Jazz happens to be my favorite. I play a wide selection of instruments, but my favorite moments come when I play with a group of close friends or family. I also enjoy technology in every aspect. I love watching movies, playing video games, and trying out all sorts of new software and hardware. I love my family. I owe everything to my parents who were excellent examples to me in my youth. Spending time with my family is what makes me the happiest. I like spending time alone, but the company of a good friend is always welcome.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in the Church. As a child I went to Church with my family, learned the principles of the Gospel, but it never really meant much to me. I felt like the Gospel had the potential to change my life, but that would only come if I gave it the chance. When I was in my teenage years I received my patriarchal blessing which enlightened my mind to the things that the Lord would have me do. Among the things that were revealed to me by the Lord was the counsel to serve an honorable full-time mission. It was at this crucial time that I decided to make my curiosity a firm and solid belief. If there is one thing that I know, it's that God gives clarity and knowledge but never doubts and confusion. I made a sincere effort on asking if the Book of Mormon and The Holy Bible were true. As for Joseph Smith, there is no doubt in my mind that he is a Prophet of God. The Book of Mormon is evidence of that. I know that God continues to speak to His children here on earth. He has not let us comfortless and he never will. If anyone has any doubts, take them to God. He will send the Holy Ghost to answer any lingering questions.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example. I may not be perfect, and God knows that. I believe that God expects improvement, but not perfection. While serving my mission, I had the opportunity to share the Gospel with everyone that I came in contact with. I met some wonderful people on my mission. People that I will never forget. If I can help people realize that there is more light and knowledge that can be gained in this life, then I have fulfilled my purpose as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.
