Hi I'm Josh

I have a passion for acting and movies, I love having fun, and I'm a mormon

About Me

I have always enjoyed acting. I remember when I was a little kid I would have my mom film me and my brothers performing crazy renditions of star wars and all sorts of stuff. Since then, theater/movies has always been something I've had a passion for. When I start college, I plan to major in theater. I come from a fairly large family of 9. I enjoy playing the piano by ear and trying to figure out popular songs. I also really love food (who doesn't?)

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon, so finding the church wasn't a problem. However, I couldn't live off of my parents' testimonies forever. I had to find out for myself. I took it to the Lord. I didn't have any crazy experiences or anything, but I felt that it was true. Every time I read the Book of Mormon, that testimony is reaffirmed. This church has brought me so much hope. I don't know where I'd be without it.

How I live my faith

A program in the church that I think is pretty awesome is what's called home teaching. Home teaching is basically where you go visit certain members of the congregation and see how they're doing. I love how the members of the church care about each other. We're one big family. If any member needs any help or anything, the congregation steps in and gets the job done. I've helped many people move and I've done yard work and all sortsa fun stuff.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Well there are these really cool dudes called missionaries. Missionaries spend 2 years of their lives to go out and teach people about the mormon church. They absolutely love teaching people and will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

If you're wonderin whether or not mormonism is the way to go, take it to the Lord. in the scriptures we read "ask and ye shall recieve". God is more than happy to answer our questions, He wants to give us all the help He can and I know that if we ask 'with a sincere heart' and 'real intent' He will make the truth known to us. What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jesus Christ is the very foundation of our faith. Everything we do in the church centers around Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice. I believe Christ to be the son of God, the Savior of the world. I believe that He suffered and died for you and me so that we all might be cleansed from our sins. II believe that if we have faith in Him, He will carry us through our trials and sorrow. He will be our friend when there is no one else. He will never leave us. He is standing with His arms open wide ready to welcome anyone. All we have to do is walk the path he has provided. Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was just a normal guy like you and me. He had a question about what church to join, took his question to the Lord and had a miraculous experience in which he talked to the Father and the Son face to face. We do not worship Joseph Smith or revere him or anything like that. He was merely an instrument in the Lord's plan to bring to pass the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

History shows that God has always chosen prophets to carry out His work. Moses led the children of Israel out of bondage. Noah warned the people of the flood and did what the Lord told him to do. God has always worked through prophets. I believe that there is a prophet on the earth today just like Moses or Noah. I know that he speaks the words of Christ. He truly is the Lord's mouthpiece on the earth today and you can know it. all you have to do is ponder the words he speaks and ask God if they are true. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Not at all. We believe that Joseph Smith was an important person in church history and a prophet of God, but we only worship God the Eternal Father and His son Jesus Christ Show more Show less
