Hi I'm Rebecca

I'm a mom, a wife, a cleaner, a friend, a sister, a cook, a daughter, a chauffeur, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have adopted two of the most beautiful girls you have ever seen. We go thru the foster to adopt program provided by the state. We are all lined up and hoping for that phone call any day to be foster parents again! I am so grateful to be a mom. It just makes me happy. I love to knit and be crafty. I am so blessed that I get to stay home and manage the maddness. I volunteer at the elementary school quite a bit, and for the church too. I had cancer a long time ago, and it was enormously hard. I think it has given me a better prospective on life in the long term. I am quick to tell people I love them when I do. I don't want to miss that chance to let someone know I have been thinking about them. It wasn't easy to get here, but this is the life I hoped for.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this faith. I am grateful for my heritage in this gospel, but I did have to find out for myself if this is really what I believe. I know with full assurity of my soul that this is God's church. I have had many prayers answered in ways I never expected, and I have been so blessed by my loving Heavenly Father. I believe in our modern prophets, and in the Book of Mormon. I have studied, and prayed to know these things, I am grateful for my knowledge, and grateful to live when and where I do so I may choose to live my faith.

How I live my faith

I have worked with the teenage girls for a long time in our church. It is wonderful and exhausting! They get together once each week beyond Sunday. They amaze me that teens can care so much and see things so clearly in such a crazy time of life. I have also worked with the children in our church, and I have to say I LOVED IT! They are loud, and silly and pure in faith. They are close to our Heavenly Father in a way I would not expect from children. Now, I work with the adult women in our congregation, this is the first time I have really done this. It is overwhelming in a good way. These women amaze me. They look out for each other, they serve one another, they love all that they can. I am blessed to be a part of this group.
