Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a military wife. I have a young family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a homemaker with 2 children. When I can find the time, I enjoy scrapbooking. My husband is in the military and is on a remote tour. My children and I enjoy going to the zoo and getting together with our friends who are like family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and from a very young age I had a sure knowledge of the Lord and his love for me. When I was a teenager I began to question my beliefs in a prophet and modern day revelation. I stopped attending church. As time went on, questions came into my mind about the purpose of my life, where was I going, and what did I truly believe. I began to re-investigate the LDS church doctrines and sincerely prayed to my Heavenly Father asking him to manifest the truth of the doctrines to me. I was immediately overcome with warm and peaceful feelings that were undeniable. I began to practice gospel principles. My life changed dramatically as a result and I continually feel the peace that comes from living in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ. I have witnessed blessings that only come from the Lord's church. I know that the Lord has blessed us with a prophet upon the earth today, just as in times of old, who directs us in paths of righteousness and truth. I know this because I pray and test these teachings out for myself. Everything that I have heard from the prophets and read in the scriptures has brought me closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. It continues to be a great source of peace and joy in my life. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My faith is part of who I am as a person. Prayer and scripture study are a daily constant; I enjoy reading the word of God and speaking with him often. It also keeps me on course and invites the Holy Spirit to be with me and my family. It's important for our family to spend time together and we enjoy lots of activities and service projects with one another. I like to help out at my child's school. Sundays are family days in which we attend church and learn of Christ and his teachings. I love to visit women in the community often and talk with them about their passions, interests, and concerns. I am also grateful to be able to help plan activities and self-improvement classes for all the women 18 and older at our church. Keeping the Lord's commandments brings indescribable joy and blessings from above. I know these blessings come from living a life that is centered in Jesus Christ.
