Hi I'm Julie

I grew up in Montana and married a man from Utah. My husband and I love being with our 5 kids and their children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for thirty six years this September and I am a mother of four grown boys and a lovely grown daughter. They are slowly bringing darling little grandchildren into our life. I love to spend time with those little children and swim and dance with them. I love to see them smile and laugh. I like having projects, painting things around the house, and experimenting with vegetable gardening. I have many opportunities to serve in the church and share my feelings about the Lord and His church.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was a baby. They embraced the church whole heartedly, so I was lucky enough to grow up in the church. I watched my parents serve any way they could in the church. With this example I went on to embrace the gospel teachings of Christ and serve in my church with the youth and the adults. Growing up in Montana almost all my friends were not members of my church but we all had mutual respect for each other's religion. Through the years I have spent a lot of time reading scriptures and worshiping the Lord at church , at home and in my heart to stay close to him and his teachings. I have found much happiness and peace in staying close to Jesus Christ. I can't imagine life without the gospel.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities over the years to serve in my church. I have served in the youth programs to strengthen their testimonies and help them to discover who they are and why they are here on earth. I have taught Sunday School and Primary for the little ones and loved the vibrance of associating with the youth of our church. I have served side by side with the women in the church to strengthen our sisters in the gospel. We have spent many hours serving in the community to beautify our city, bring food and necessary items to those in need. I have helped our brothers and sisters to donate many funds to buy hundreds of turkeys for local food banks. All combined this church has given me a full and satisfying life.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Julie
I have read the Bible many times. Specifically the New Testament the most. The Bible is the word of God and I developed a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and his Atonement by reading about his life in the New Testament. I have enjoyed the prophecies in the Old Testament teaching the ancient Jews to look forward to the Saviors coming. Each time I read it I grow to love it more. It will enrich your life when you read it too. Show more Show less
