Hi I'm Alf

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Sicily, Italy to Catholic parents. My parents, my sister and I migrated to Australia when I was 5 years old. We lived in North Queensland for 14 years before moving to a city in South East Queensland in my young adult years. I spent most of my adult years and married life in that area, or in the coastal towns nearby. After retirement 2 years ago my wife and I moved to Toowoomba in Western Queensland.

Why I am a Mormon

As a Catholic I felt there was something missing in my life. I had may questions that no one was able to answer, until I met my present wife who was involved in her church and community activities. She invited me to attend her church with her where she and other members of the church were able to answer all my questions. From that time on life took on a more positive and meaningful direction. I became a Mormon and know that I am in the right church. Through knowing my life has purpose and direction I am happy and content.

How I live my faith

I know Jesus Christ gave up His life for me and that I have a loving Heavenly Father. I have faith and hope that I will be with them after this life with my wife and family. I feel that to be truly happy and have a worthwhile life we need to serve others and reach out in our communities to those in need. We can never expect something without putting in some effort to earn it.
