Hi I'm Grant

I have lived in Queensland Australia all my life. I am involved in community public safety and technology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have have six children who have all grown up. I enjoy reading, rugby league and union, swimming, walking and gardening. I am involved in preparing university lectures, national conference presentations and writing articles based on applied research. I have participated in community service organizations including politics, drug rehabilitation, education programs, scouting, youth community groups involving suicide/graffiti/truancy/homelessness and business ventures. In addition, I have been a member of national policy committees involving road safety, technology, communications, disaster management, crime prevention, mental health, education, public safety, drug and alcohol and neighbourhood watch.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have found its teachings to be true. As a family we participate in church services and activities. We particularly enjoy spending time together on Monday nights discussing family issues and how the church's teachings can help us achieve God's plan for us in this life. I have a strong belief in a personalized Saviour and the restored gospel of Jesus Christ through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I have read the Book of Mormon and know that it is true. As a family we enjoy our involvement in the church and family values it promotes.

How I live my faith

My church role is to tell others, particularly prominent people in the community about the church and its values. I enjoy explaining why I live the values of the church and how these values can help our community. I am also involved with several community groups to improve the circumstances of people so that they can live a better life.
