Hi I'm Nola Joy.

I'm a Mormon. Born and raised in Pendleton, Oregon, on a less than traditional berry farm.

About Me

Well seeing as I have I introduced myself already as Nola Joy, there is no hope in decieving you now. Coming from a family of eight children and being the youngest of those eight can cause some peculiar and other wise unhealthy lying habbits. So, I'll try to be as straight forward as possible. Like a large portion of the adolesent population that have graduated from high school, I have joined with others like myself at BYUI in hopes of gaining a better education. My particular studies right now are in English, and I hope these indeavors will one day lead me to being a teacher. Ironically, grammer and spelling is not one of my strong suites, but I love to write and read. Growing up on a farm has accustom me to the out doors and hard work. I have so many fond memories of my dad and I hiking to unknown destinations, to find the stream where the brooke trout are fat and long because we are the first to have ever discovered it. Laughing is one of my many hobbies. Nothing feels better then when your stomach aches from laughing too hard and long. I love being active. Playing any kind of sport, even if I am not the best, is something I adore. Ultimate football at the park or wakeboarding out on the lake. My family is my world. I love them more than I could ever express. We were put here together on this earth for a reason, and what ever that reason may be, I am eternally grateful.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was Mormon. Luckily, I have had this beautiful blessing all my life. There have been way too many times that I have taken it for granted. As I have grown, I have learned a lot about myself and my Savior. I have learned that I have weaknesses and I am imperfect, but through the Savior my faults can be forgotten. And I can be forgiven of these weaknesses because of the Atonement. Jesus Christ died so I could have this gift of forgiveness in my life. There is nothing more sweet or beautiful to me then that. I love that I can be with my Family forever. It doesn't stop here. I get to laugh and be with them for time and all eternity. When I get married to my best friend and the love of my life, I get to kiss him forever! He and I with our family can be together always. I know that if I do the best that I can, I can have these glorious blessings in my life! Oh it is wonderful! Wonderful to me! My Heavenly Father loves me with all his heart. He tells me that ever day. I am his daughter, and I know when I do good it makes him happy. He loves all his children and wants them to come home. All we have to do is open the door and he'll be waiting there with open arms.

How I live my faith

Going to church and taking the Sacrement is what helps me to live my faith. To be with other people who believe what I do helps me to keep going every day. Satan trys real hard to bring us down, but when I go to church, pray, and read my scriptures I find his critisim much easier to ignore and temptations don't appear quite so appealing anymore.
