Hi I'm Michael

I grew up on a Dairy Farm. I'm a husband, father and a soldier in the Australian Army. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father of two and my family is really important to me. I love playing with my kids and seeing them learn and experience new things. I am a soldier in the Australian Army. I'm a fairly massive sports fan, just ask my wife during cricket and footy season.

Why I am a Mormon

I suppose there are a few things about the church that people might find hard to understand or difficult to follow, because when I was younger I felt the same way. I felt like there were lots of rules and that it was too restrictive. So I decided to pray and find out for myself if what my Mother and church leaders had taught me was true and if it was something I wanted to really commit to. So I did that. I really felt a strong peaceful and overwhelming feeling that I had a Heavenly Father who actually knew me and cared about my choices. I knew that was true. From then on I have tried to do things which will bring me closer to my Saviour, and to help my family be faithful in the church. I have always been blessed when I have chosen to put the things of God first and I know that living this way brings true and lasting happiness.

How I live my faith

I served a two year full time mission for the Church in Japan when I was younger and now am glad to be assisting the full time missionaries that work in our local area. I help participate in discussions based on the fundamental gospel principles during Sunday School time. I enjoy seeing the changes the church has made in the lives of new members or those investigating the church just as it has and still is making in my own life.
