Hi I'm Cami

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Payson, Utah and my family moved about every four years between Utah, Colorado and Indiana. I went to college at Ricks College in Idaho which then transitioned into BYU-Idaho. I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from BYU-Idaho. I love singing and sharing my talents. I have two brothers and one sister. We are all very close to one another because of our moving experiences. I am a stay at home mom. I get to stay home and enjoy my three young children. My calling in the church is as the Stake Girl's Camp Director. I get to plan a yearly week long camp for young women 12-18 years of age. I love to organize! I thoroughly enjoy cleaning and organizing my house. It's so nice to be able to find things and help my family find what they need. The only problem with being super organized is that when I can't find something I REALLY can't find something! It's lost pretty well! I also love to do "office" type things. I love data entry. I enjoy budgeting and keep our household organized. I love my husband. We have a beautiful marriage. He asks me daily what he can do for me that day. I love his caring and concern for me. I try my hardest to do the same for him. We make beautiful kids! I can't leave the house with them without getting compliments on how cute they are! :) I enjoy playing games with friends, cooking, blogging, sewing, making music, serving others, exercising, fellow-shipping others, yard work, movies, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon. I LOVE this gospel! The gospel is true and I love how it improves me and helps me to be better. I love the eternal aspect of the gospel. I get to live with my fabulous husband and kids for all eternity if I do my part here on earth. I am a Mormon because of my belief that Jesus Christ is my Savior. He was perfect and he chose to die that I and my loved ones might be saved if we choose to accept his sacrifice. Only through the ordinances performed by the Priesthood can we have these things. I love being married to a worthy priesthood holder. He is able to give me or my kids blessings in times of health problems or trials. I love having the gift of the Holy Ghost. I received this blessing as an eight year old girl when I was baptized. The Holy Ghost has been an incredible guide for me through my struggles and hard years as a youth. Now as a mother I can feel him guiding me as I teach my children. I can feel him guiding my thoughts as I work on my calling as the Stake Girl's Camp Director. I'm a Mormon because of my faithful family members who came before me. I have pioneer ancestors who struggled through the beginning years of the church. I am grateful for their sacrifices so that I might have the gospel readily in my life. I'm a Mormon because my parents taught me from a young age to choose good things and to live with integrity and good values. They taught me to look for a righteous young man who could take me to the Temple of God and who would take care of me in the gospel. I'm a Mormon because of faithful leaders in the church who nurtured me through my trials. These people helped me to hold to the iron rod and stay true to what I know it right. I'm a Mormon because of my husband and my kids. I want them each to make it back into Heavenly Father's presence. This church will help us to do that because of the correct principles, doctrine, and priesthood that we have. I'm a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I get to work as the Stake Girl's Camp Director. I organize a yearly week long camp for young women 12-18 years of age in 11 surrounding ward units. There are about 130 girls who come and spend the week with us. We have a blast hanging out together, doing certification, and fun activities. The planning is SO much fun! I'm a work-a-holic and this calling gives me a great outlet for that desire in me. I love organizing. I love helping others and watching them learn and grow. At this year's girls camp we had a "Value Hike." It was a spiritual hike centered around the eight Young Women values. The girls all had a great experience and learned a lot about each value in the process. I am excitedly working on next year's camp all ready! I also live my faith through teaching my young family. I have three small children whom I love and cherish with all of my heart (besides the piece that is for my hubby!) I put all of my efforts into raising them to be good people with integrity, cleanliness and happy hearts. I believe that others learn through example. I am trying to keep up on living the things that I want my children to live. I want them to have a desire to go to the temple, to read their scriptures, to pray daily, to have clean and happy homes, to go on missions, to serve and love one another. I am trying to do these things as well.
