Hi I'm Diane

I'm a mom. I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My education/professional background is in Social Work. I worked for many years in my profession but at the long awaited birth of my first daughter, I chose to stay home. I am happily married and we have three busy daughters. I love books, jogging, and organizing. I love to read as well as listen to books. There nothing better than to be out jogging with a great book playing through my ear buds. I look forward to being with friends, going to the movies, eating out, dates with my husband and watching my children develop their talents.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a home of practicing Mormon's. My father was a religious instructor at the college level and spent many hours studying the scriptures and sharing them with my siblings and me. I always felt loved and secure in my family. They were my best friends. Being a family that believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ and trying to put those beliefs into action on a daily basis has blessed my life. I had a difficult time having children. After many lost pregnancies, many of my co-workers and friends wondered how I could go on with so much faith in God. I could because I knew that God had a plan for me and as part of that plan, I was to be happy. Being a Mormon gave me the courage and strength to continue. I now have three miracle daughters that are a great joy and blessing to me. My father died of cancer two years ago. It was an extremely sad thing to lose my father. But one of the reasons I am a Mormon is because the teachings give hope to what happens to us after this life. I know that death is only a step to the next part of eternity. I know that families can be together forever. God does love us and has made a way for our return to Him and to enjoy our family relations in the next life.

How I live my faith

I work as a coordinator for the women in my congregation to make sure each one is known and looked after. I also volunteer at the school where my children attend and attend a religious study class during the week.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No we do not worship Joseph Smith. We only worship God and Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith is a prophet that we honor for his work in restoring the Gospel of Jesus Christ in it's fullness. We love him for what he has done that helps us to understand our relationship to God and our Savior. This is the same honor we give to prophet of the past such as Moses and Noah. Show more Show less
