Hi I'm Ken Pollary

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of two young children. My family and I like to go camping, hiking and biking. I am also a dentist. I've been married for 9 years and have a beautiful wife who is my best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, but there came a time when I had to figure out for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is THE true church of God on the earth. I find joy and happiness as a try to live the way that I should. Being a Mormon has a lot of social benefits as well. We have moved from Utah to Michigan and then Colorado. At each place we have quickly met up with other Mormons and created a huge network of friends. As Mormons, we all help and look after each other. We even found ourselves in Camden, New Jersey.....staying in a Ronald McDonald House and getting medical treatment for our daughter. All we had to do is find the local Mormon ward there and we had all kinds of people wanting to help us and friendships that blossomed.

How I live my faith

I am in charge of all the young men ages 12-18 in my ward. Many of them are struggling to figure out who they are and if they really believe in the church. It's tough sometimes, as I feel like I am constantly trying to pull them away from video games and iPhones to realize that there is a world around them and a Father in Heaven that wants them to make good choices. We have a lot of fun doing high adventure and scouting type of stuff. I absolutely love having a family home evening each Monday night. We take turns with our kids teaching each other about some aspect of the Gospel and the Good Word. Then it's game time! .....followed by dessert! I love to see my kids take charge and teach me the things that they are learning and feeling about God. We've had some fabulous rounds of hide and go seek to go with it!
