Hi I'm Melodie.

I am a wife, mom, stepmom, mother-in-law, and an omi. I became all of these titles within a 5-year timeframe. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy wife and a mom of a six-year old little girl. I am also a stepmom to 6 six children, a mother-in-law to 5 children, and an Omi to 4.8 (one on the way) grandchildren. In my spare time, I work full time as a legislative/budget analyst for health care issues in state government. With a large and ever growing family, our main activities are centered around finding ways to spend time together.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Mormon church all of my life. My great, great grandparents joined the church in Denmark, Sweden, and England. As converts, they traveled to the United States to be with other members of their faith. They endured many trials traveling across the United States in covered wagons and handcarts. Hearing these stories in my youth taught me that having strong faith will help us overcome trials in life. As I grew, so did my testimony in our Savior Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice for me. My faith is the anchor of my life -- it is constant no matter what changes occur around me. I am very thankful for the strong traditions, family unity, belief system, organized activities, and community that my faith in the Mormon church gives to me.

How I live my faith

As an active member of my faith, I attend church on a weekly basis. I have had an opportunity to serve in the church in the children's, youth, Sunday School, and women's organization of the church. Our family also hold weekly family nights each week where we teach and strengthen each other.
