Hi I'm Stan

I grew up in Oklahoma and was a member of the Presbyterian church. I joined the LDS church when I was in college in Colorado.

About Me

I am married and have five children. My wife and I run a small greenhouse business. I have always loved growing plants. I love the mountains and ski during the winter months. I am a private pilot but have not flown is a few years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was very interested in the LDS church when I heard about eternal families. This is one of the doctrines of the church that made me want to learn more. When I first heard about a living prophet I was sceptical. It was hard to understand at first but the idea of a living prophet was something I wanted to learn more about. Now that I have carefully listened to the prophet I know that he is the true prophet and helps guide us. This is something I think I have learned to feel in my inner being more than with my mind. I especially enjoy hearing the General Conference that we hold in April and October. Those are always special talks to me.

How I live my faith

In the LDS church everyone in the congregation helps. No one gets paid anything but we all do our part. This can take a lot of time but there are also many blessings as we serve the Lord. It is amazing how much we grow as we help our fellow beings. I think this helps us to be more Christlike.
