Hi I'm Nicole Simmons

I live in the Pacific Northwest. I'm a busy mom of four boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 15 years and get to stay home with our four boys. I stay busy with all their school, scouts, sports, and church activities. In my spare time I enjoy reading, dabbling in simple crafts, blogging, exercising, lake activities, and camping. My ultimate enjoyment is traveling to experience new sights and cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to this church because it makes me happy, gives me direction, peace, and a feeling of importance in this life. Knowing my Savior lives and learning about His life each week at church gives me so much strength to go through the week. I learn how to be a better daugher of God, wife, mother, neighbor, and friend.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to work with the women in my congregation who are 18 years and older. I oversee the lessons and teachers who instruct the women each Sunday. I also get to plan montly activities that allow the ladies to learn new skills, visit, and serve each other and the community. I also sing in our congregation's choir. I have always enjoyed singing, and am thrilled that I get to do so now as an adult. We are not professionals. However, we all like to sing and there is always a great feeling when we sing the hymns together. Everyday I pray and try to read my scriptures. I do this to strive to stay in tune to what God would have me do; to balance what I see and hear from the world.
