Hi I'm Kendal

Husband,Father, hiker, mountain biker

About Me

I like camping, mountain biking, hiking (9 14er's and counting) and watching football played at all levels. I enjoy lifting weights with the ipod loaded up with modern and alternative rock. Family is a big part of my life as I'm a husband and a father to two young boys, one of which is autistic. We love to spend time outside as a family hiking, gardening, swimming or just laying in the grass doing nothing at all. I try to live each day to the fullest and I fully endorse the quote "never grow old, leave that for someone else."

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up with parents who took me to the LDS church I had to make a decision on my own if this was the spiritual path I wanted to follow. When I was a young teenager I was bombarded with criticism and questions about my church and beliefs constantly. I didn't know all the answers and didn't even know if I believed it. With this in mind, I needed to figure things out for myself. I decided to dive into the place where a testimony of the Mormon church can be best obtained, the Book of Mormon. I decided I wanted to read the Book Of Mormon from cover to cover. I dove in and finished in less than a week. All throughout that week I received calm assurances that this book was indeed true and subsequently Joseph Smith was a Prophet. The fun and great thing about the Holy Ghost is that I receive those assurances every time I read the Book of Mormon or the Bible confirming their validity and truth.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy opportunities to serve others that the church provides. I've taught lessons to old and young alike. Just this past month I was able to help assist in the construction of a playground in the community I live in.
