Hi I'm Gretchen

I am an aspiring teacher. I love eating Maryland blue crabs and road trips, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom with 6 kids, 4 girls and 2 boys. We love road trips with our pop-up trailer, and have almost seen every state in the US. I like to bike ride and play softball and volleyball. I am going to school to get a Masters in Elementary Education, so I can fulfill a lifelong dream of being a teacher. Our oldest daughter was born with complications and we are raising her with an undiagnosed disability. I love daisies and sunsets and hope to visit every continent.

Why I am a Mormon

Being Mormon makes sense to me. There has never been a question regarding who I am, why I am here, and where I am going when I die that I have not found an answer to within these beliefs. I believe I am a daughter of an earthly father and mother, as well as a heavenly one. Because of that belief, the family unit is very important to me, and is a huge focus of my beliefs. I also believe in a personal relationship with my Savior, and believe all people are entitled to know for themselves about the truths of the universe and beyond. With that knowledge, I am dedicated to teaching my children to develop a relationship with God, and know things for themselves. The peace I feel when all the world is right in life is a special and unique feeling which I believe comes from God, and can confirm truth to my mind and spirit.

How I live my faith

I love serving the children of our church, and all children. I believe we are all children in the sight of our Heavenly Father and are loved. I love supporting families in our community. I also have enjoyed writing my testimony to children through two children's books.
