Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mother of two children, ages 5 and 3, so my days are filled with the demands and joys of young children. In my spare time, I love to read anything that is enriiching or educational and to spend time with my husband and kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born to parents who actively practiced our faith, and that faith is part of my heritage. My individual testimony has blossomed throughout my life, as I have experienced the confirming power of the Holy Ghost testifying of truth to my heart and mind. I know that Jesus Christ's gospel has been restored to the earth, that Joseph Smith is a prophet called by God, that Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet today, and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that Jesus suffered for our sins, and that his atonement provides us strength to overcome, as well as comfort to heal. The truth of these things has been confirmed to me over and over as I have been blessed with wonderful feelings of peace and joy, and as I have experienced the grace of Christ carrying me through my trials. I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ, and because I know that His church has been restored.

How I live my faith

I draw from my faith each day as I kneel in prayer, ponder the scriptures, teach my children to be like Jesus, and try to be Christlike myself. The eternal perspective of the gospel of Jesus Christ allows me to see the big picture of my existence, providing meaning and purpose to everything I do.
