Hi I'm David

I have a beautiful wife and awesome family. I live in Florida, am a trial lawyer, a marathon runner, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father, and now, a grandfather to four beautiful grandchildren. My family brings me great joy and happiness. I love to spend time with them and enjoy their talents and abilities. I love to eat my wife's cooking, love to drink a big glass of cold milk with homemade cookies at the end of a long day, and love to travel and explore new places. I am a trial lawyer and thrill in helping my clients solve their problems through our legal system. I love to run and enjoy the exhilaration that a long run brings to me. I run early in the morning while it is still dark and receive great inspiration while running. I didn't start to run seriously until later in my life and ran my first marathon in my 50's. I just finished my 16th marathon, finishing in first place in my age group and division in the Mississippi River Marathon.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a long line of Mormons. My ancestors joined the Church in England and Wales in the 1830's and 1840's. They gave up everything they had to join the Church and traveled across the Atlantic Ocean and then traveled across the United States in very primitive conditions and settled in the Salt Lake Valley. I was raised in the Church, but had to find out for myself that the Church was true. I received a witness of the truthfulness of the Gospel, and as a young man served a mission for the Church in Southern Germany. My testimony grew as a young man and I grew to love the German people. My wife and I were married in the Temple, and our marriage has been sealed for time and all eternity. I testify that this is the Lord's true Church. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and contains the fulness of the Gospel. Its teachings bless my life every day. I am so grateful for that knowledge and the blessing we have to have a living Prophet on the Earth today to lead and guide us. I am also grateful for the opportunity I have to serve the Lord and give back a little of what my ancestors before sacrificed so much.

How I live my faith

I attend my Church meetings each Sunday and often attend several services on Sunday. I have the opportunity to work with our full-time missionaries - you see those young men and young women riding their bicycles or walking through your neighborhoods - very closely and help and assist them in their work. These wonderful missionaries are an inspiration to me and carry with them the glorious message of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. My faith is not just a Sunday faith, rather, it is a way of life. During the week, you will find me working with the young people in our Church, conducting a tour of the beautiful Orlando Temple, or serving our friends and neighbors in the community. I love the scriptures and seek guidance from them each day. I try to be kind to my fellowmen and follow the example of the Savior - He went about doing good. I try to do so likewise.
