Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up all over the United States. I am a lawyer. I also am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father, son, brother, and a lawyer. Like anyone, I have hopes and dreams. I hope I am a good husband and the type of father who my children can trust and love. I strive for excellence in my profession and to serve my clients and the public through dedication and hard work. I love reading newspapers, magazines, and good books. I love football and basketball. I also am fascinated by weather and the wonders of nature.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I have come to know for myself that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that Jesus Christ paid the price for my sins, and that if I repent, I can be forgiven and live with Him again. I am a Mormon, because I know that Jesus Christ formed his Church during his ministry on Earth. I know that Christ's Church needed to be restored following His resurrection and the death of his apostles. I know that the Church He formed has been restored in our day. I am a Mormon, because it brings peace and understanding to my soul in a world replete with confusion and discouragement. I am a Mormon, because I know that what the Church teaches about the eternal nature of families is true; we can live with our spouse, our children, our parents, and all of our ancestors for eternity—death need not separate us. I am a Mormon, because it helps me be a better person. Being a Mormon helps me to have compassion and kindness for others—particularly those who need encouragement, a hand up, or some act of kindness. I am a Mormon, because I know we are all children of a loving God, who desires the best for us. God will help us through our struggles in life, if we allow Him to be a part of our lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in various ways. I hold various responsibilities within my congregation. I lead a class on the second and third Sunday of every month, where we have a discussion on various gospel subjects. I also help visit members of the congregation during the week, as well as visit individuals who are interested in learning more about the Church. Additionally, I live my faith by helping with a church basketball league for adults and youth. I also strive to live my faith by treating all I encounter with respect and kindness, whether that is in my interactions with the general public, in my profession, and most importantly, in the way I treat my family and friends.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Ryan
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not endorse political parties. As a life-long member of the Church, I have never heard a single Church leader endorse or recommend a particular political party or candidate. Additionally, I have many friends who are members of the Church, who support different political parties, positions, and ideals. Show more Show less
