Hi I'm Linda

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have 2 sons and 2 grandchildren. They are my joy and bring much happiness to my life. I grew up in a small town in the midwest. After high school I attended a large university and obtained a teaching degree. I have spent most of my life teaching. I had planned a professional teaching career but for various reasons my life has not followed that path. I have done most of my teaching within the programs of the church. My favorite hobby is working on my genealogy. I have deveolped a great love for my ancestors as I have learned more about them. Other hobbies include reading, knitting, needlework.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the church by a young man I was dating. Later he became my husband of 42 years and counting. As I listened to the young missionaries and what they had to share with me, I felt in my heart that what they were saying was true. I believe this was the Holy Ghost bearing witness to me of the truthfulness of these teachings. I have had a belief in Christ from early childhood. I have always known he was my Savior but felt that the church I was attending lacked answers to my questions. The missionaries had answers to those questions. I found great joy knowing that there is a living prophet today and God speaks to him as He spoke to prophets in Old Testament times. We have a loving Heavenly father who loves us and cares for people in our day as he did those of earlier time periods.

How I live my faith

I have tried to live my faith by attending church regularly throughout my life and by serving others where I can. I have taught early morning religion classes to teenagers, taught young children, ages 18 months to 12 years, taught adult classes, helped run youth sports programs. I have been a teacher and leader in many of the programs of the church. This service has brought great joy into my life. We learn to love those that we serve.
