Hi I'm Shannon

I grew up in Georgia, now in Colorado. I train for triathlons, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a third grade teacher and I love what I do. Outside of school I love to take pictures, scrapbook, water ski and exercise--my new love is triathlons. My most rewarding job is being a mom to my kids! They mean the world to me. I have a 17 year old son and a 15 year old daughter, and I lost my youngest son at the age of 9 four years ago to a brain tumor. They are my joy and my love. I am also a wife to a devoted and wonderful husband. He is the best and helps me enjoy life!!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormon, my parents parents were Mormon and I am Mormon! I was raised in this gospel and would never have it any other way. I am different. Mormons are different. I have high standards and values. I believe in a living prophet that leads our church. I love the Book of Mormon and believe the teachings contained therein. I am so grateful to have a church that has kept its strong morals, beliefs, and standards in a world that has become so carefree in its principles. I am Mormon because I know this church is true. I know the Book of Mormon is true and I know one day we can return to live with our Heavenly Father by being faithful and keeping the commandments.

How I live my faith

I have the great opportunity to teach the young children in our ward. I get to teach them church songs specifically made for them. I play games with them and teach them the gospel through music. I love what I do. I love to see the progress and the testimonies of the sweet children.
