Hi I'm Kelly

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family and I moved to Colorado about 6 years ago and love it here. Since arriving here, my wife and I have found simple ways to enjoy the wonders that surround us. Being outdoors brings us the most enjoyment from life. My family enjoys going on bike rides, camping, taking walks in the community and other activities that bring us outdoors when the weather permits. I am currently finishing my bachelors' degree in hopes that I can make a real difference in the world. My wife and I have been married for eight years and have two kids with one coming shortly. I really love rock climbing and breathing in the outdoors. One of our first major purchases was a family sized tent and sleeping bags. I look forward to getting some for our children soon. My household is so full of energy and excitement for life, we may just explode!

Why I am a Mormon

Through my membership in the church, I've gained a greater understanding of who I am and a better perspective of how I, as a son of God, fit into the plan he has for me. My family gives me the support that I need to continue striving to be the best that I can. I've had my share of short falls and times when the Lord has patiently told me to slow down and take life as it comes, after all, he is in control and truly knows what is best for me. Experiences in my life and so far in my marriage have witnessed to me that our Heavely Father loves us and waits to pour down blessings to strengthen our resolve to follow his teachings.

How I live my faith

Currently, I have the opportunity to teach some of the ten year old kids in Primary. I have lots of fun listening to the experiences that they share on how they know that the teachings of the Church are true. Some of the callings that I've had have been to co-lead the 11-year old scouts each week, teaching the 6-year olds, the nursury age children, and even assisted with teaching the young men ages 16-18. The most fun that I've had has been really helping to foster testimonies of our Saviour and his gospel, where ever that might be, on a campout or during a simple planning meeting.
