Hi I'm Matt

I'm from SLC, UT. I'm serving a mission in Alaska, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm from Salt Lake. I love to ski and golf. I love music. I have two brothers and one sister, of which I am the oldest. I love my family. I am currently serving the Lord in the Anchorage, Alaska mission. I am grateful for all of the many blessings I have been given in my life, and I am eternally in debt to the Lord. I have a strong testimony about the gospel. Love to have fun, slay king salmon, and hang out.

Why I am a Mormon

Because the church is true, its as simple as that. Because I have seen the gospel of Jesus Christ bless my life and the lives of my family, and I have received an answer to my prayers that the Book of Mormon is true. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has the fullness of the everlasting gospel, it has all of the pieces to the puzzle, and most of all, Christ is at the head of the church leading and guiding it.

How I live my faith

I try my best to be an example of Jesus Christ every day. Of course, its not easy, we all make mistakes, but that is the beauty of the sacrifice that Christ made for us. We can repent when we make mistakes and learn from those mistakes. Constantly repenting and learning how to be a better person brings growth. I am currently serving a full time mission in the Anchorage, Alaska mission. Preaching the gospel and sharing what has brought me happiness with others for two years.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Matt
We know that we are saved through a combination of grace and works. We must do our best to follow Christ during this life, but however we are imperfect, we make mistakes. We must rely on Christ, and if we have tried our best, he will make up for the rest. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Matt
A testimony is something that every member of the church must gain at one point in their life. It is something that you know. It comes through the holy ghost. A strong testimony is always built upon a solid foundation, the rock of our faith, our savior and redeemer Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
