Hi I'm Hannah

I love sign language, I'm #5 out of 9 kids, music inspires and touches my soul and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! It is such an amazing opportunity to go out into the world and help others to realize their divine heritage and potential as a child of God. A mission was NEVER truly on my agenda of things to do but as life happened, and things fell into place I saw alot of my friends leaving on missions. It really started to become a possibility when my younger brother got his mission call and I was like "I want one of THOSE!" So almost a year later here I am serving the Lord and loving everyday of it! Before coming on a mission I was going to school to become a sign language interpreter. I absolutely LOVE the language and the people and although its not the easiest thing to do all the time I truly love and enjoy being able to communicate with such amazing people. I come from a large family of nine kids (3 older sisters, an older brother and 3 younger brothers and a younger sister). I'm smack dab in the middle as child number 5. Coming from a large family is GREAT! People are always amazed that none of us are adopted, but growing up with that many kids means you always have a built in friend who you can create ultimate chaos with! I already have 6 nephews and 3 neices and I LOVE being an aunt and truly cherish time spent with them all.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church so having to decide if I should join the church was never really a decision for me. I went to church and did the things I was supposed to do BECAUSE I was supposed to do them. As I've grown older and moved to the singles ward I've had to CONSCIOUSLY MAKE those decisions to attend church and my other meetings and because of that my relationship with the Lord has grown. Instead of just going through the motions I am really trying to apply myself; and although I've always known this church is true its those constant reminders of applying ourselves that keep us close with our Heavenly Father. But the real reason I am a Mormon is I KNOW this church, the gospel and its teachings are true. That Joseph Smith TRULY did see God, the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ and that through him Christ's church was restored on the earth once again. Everyday I see the Lord's tender mercies in my life that reaffirm and testify to ME that this is where I should be at this time, serving my Heavely Father and doing His will. I love this gospel, I love my Savior and I love my Heavenly Father. I know they know me personally, individually, inside and out and without them I would be lost.

How I live my faith

I am currently as I said earlier serving a full time mission as a Sister Missionary in the Massachusetts Boston Mission. It is amazing how everyday I am blessed to truly DEVOTE my time, energy and talents in trying to find my Heavenly Father's children who have lost their way. Being a missionary is not the easiest thing to do, it is hard work emotionally and spiritually and sometimes even physically but it is THE MOST REWARDING thing I have ever done and I love serving. I love being able to meet to new people and strengthen their faith in the Savior and I feel privileged to be serving my Heavenly Father. I love having the privilege of EVERYDAY testifying of the Savior and helping people realize all that He did for us and how EVERY struggle, injustice, unfairness or whatever can be healed and made right through his ultimate sacrifice.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is SO important to Mormons because it is THERE within the family that we truly begin to gain a testimony of the Savior and our Heavenly Father. Also it is within the family that we are able to learn, grow and create our first social relationships which in turn help us as we go out into the world. I know for me, that spending time with my family allows me to have ULTIMATE happiness! My family is extremely important to me and I don't know where I would be or how I would get along if I didn't have them as a constant support. They are my own personal cheering squad, regardless of their faults, weaknesses or habits that possibly drive me crazy I would do ANYTHING for them and I always have their back. Families are divine and inspired and "central to God's plan for His children" ("The Family: A Proclamation to the World") and I know I'd be lost without mine. Show more Show less
