Hi I'm Bo

I grew up in Winn Parish. I love horses and anything outdoors and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a true Louisiana boy. I enjoy hunting and fishing. But my true passion or hobby I guess, is horses. I have been around them my whole life. In fact, I can't remember a time I did not have a horse. I am also a father. I have a son that means the world to me. I also am a husband. I have a loving wife that I do not know what I would do without.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon because of the way Christ was taught in this church. I was intrigued by how much the church centered on forgiveness and not all fire and brimstone. Yes, that is part of our Christian Faith, but that is not there is all there is to it. The church is there to teach and "expound" the ways of Christ and how we can finally return home to live with Him and Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending meeting every Sunday. I partake of the sacrament in order to remind me of those promises I made when I was baptized. I also read the scripture daily, and pray daily. I also have a calling as a secretary. I help set up meeting with the leaders of the church. It has helped me really get to know the people of the ward and the needs that they have.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

The Church focuses on more of a "teaching" instead of " preaching". It is teaching you how to become closer to Christ, not through fire and brimstone, but of love. Show more Show less
