Hi I'm Garrett

I like art, I like scouting, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I just got back from serving a Spanish-speaking 2 year mission in the USA. During my mission I learned many principles and had many experiences that have helped me to feel and to know of my Heavenly Father's and Christ's Love and how to return to live with them again someday. Before my mission I did my best in school and tried to set a good example for my brothers. I got involved in many service opportunities and joined many youth groups that promoted good morals. I also earned over 121 merit badges in the Boy-Scouts of America program and earned every single merit badge (available). I am now working towards getting a career in dentistry and am still helping out the best I can in my community.

Why I am a Mormon

Through line upon line and precept upon precept, with some experience here and some experience there, I have repeatedly felt the Holy Ghost's truth-confirming presence present and I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. The only emotion that I have found here that I can't feel anywhere else is peace. I cannot put it into words to describe the joy that this brings but I do know that this peace is available to all those who choose to follow Christ's doctrine which is taught clearly in the Book of Mormon. I can promise you that if you read the Book of Mormon with the attitude of thrusting and hungering after righteousness you will feel this same exact feeling (in the Lord's timing). So the question is, Will you (continue) to read and pray about the Book of Mormon? In other words, will you give it your best to feel and know if this brings you true and lasting joy, happiness, and peace?

How I live my faith

I like to keep myself active in my faith by praying throughout the day, reading the Book of Mormon and scriptures, and keeping the Sabbath day holy by attending church and learning more about Christ. Having just returned from my 2-year mission I have a desire to share what I know and feel is true with others and help them come closer to Christ. Knowing that faith is an action word, I am continually involved in doing things that will bring me closer to Christ. It is through HIM and HIS Atonement that I can become more than I ever would have thought I could become on my own. I am continuously putting my trust in God and know that He will be there to help support me during the storms of life.
