Hi I'm Jerry

I was born and raised in Colorado, moved to California and then to Washington State, raised a family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am retired, like to garden, am an amateur bread baker, like to vacation with my wife on the Washington coast and also like to take my dog on walks in the beautiful and quiet foothills of the Cascade Mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

While looking for a church for our new family we were introduced to the Church by neighbors. Theirs, and the church's, message had the feel of truth to it. All of my experience since that first introduction has reinforced that feeling. The gospel answers all of my eternal wants. Knowing that my family can be together when life here is over is a huge comfort.

How I live my faith

Community involvement has been part of my weekly routine, as is regular activity in the small branch where we attend. I have had callings in primary, young men, several bishoprics, ward clerk, executive secretary, stake high council, stake family history library, and, most recently, a branch presidency. All have been rewarding and have helped grow and strengthen my testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Serving in any capacity has its rewards; callings accepted do not interfere with my life but are an integral and satisfying part of it.
