Hi I'm Stephanie

I am married, a mother of 4, love being with my family and taking pictures and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated in Health Sciences and I enjoy helping others learn to take care of their health. My current focus of the past 11 years has been raising my four children. I have two girls and two boys that bring so much joy to my life. I just embarked on homeschooling and I am enjoying learning with my children and teaching them a love of learning. So my job title varies from teacher to taxi driver to housecleaner to nurse and everything in between. When I'm not doing one of the above, I'm exercising, reading, taking pictures or traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that didn't talk much about religion. I was sent to a private, Lutheran elementary school where I learned about Jesus Christ. I learned on a very basic level who He was and "that He died for my sins." Of course I didn't really understand what that meant at the time. Throughout my teenage years I had many friends who were true to their Christian faith. A few gave me bibles and a couple gave me Book of Mormons. I was always eager to learn and better understand. I ended up dating a guy in my senior year of high school who belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His family lived their faith. They would have family scripture study and prayer and would attend Church together every Sunday. I began to attend Church with them, read the Book of Mormon and pray everyday. My life slowly transformed. After about 4 months, I fasted and prayed to know if this was the true Church on the earth and if I should be baptized. Of course I received a powerful, "Yes!" I will never forget the powerful answer I received by the Holy Ghost. It filled every fiber of my being and I have been fully committed ever since. I am so grateful for my testimony and for the knowledge that I have that Christ lives, that His grace is sufficient for all men and that through His atonement I can be healed, forgiven, succored, resurrected and live forever with my family.

How I live my faith

I strive to center my personal and family life around the teachings of Jesus Christ. His life was a life of service, love and sacrifice. I feel such great joy when I forget about myself and help someone else. I'll never forget when I was a freshman in college. I was walking to the dorm and came upon my roommate whose backpack looked extra heavy. I lifted it from the bottom as I walked behind her. She turned around in surprise and relief and said, "Oh! I thought maybe angels were lifting my load." We all carry such heavy loads, yet we are also the angels that can lighten each others' burdens. Sometimes it is easy to serve and sometimes it takes some sacrifice, but it always generates greater love and happiness.
