Hi I'm Will

I love sports, being outdoors, helping others and going to school. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student from New Hampshire studying International Business in Idaho. I currently am looking into working as a Human Resource officer and want to make a career out of it. I volunteer in many different area at my college in the Student Representative Council and Sports Intramural Program. I love to travel and take every opportunity I get to do so. I love to be outdoors hiking, biking, playing sports like soccer and football, going for a walk or just going for a drive in the country-side. I love to play basketball, racquetball and many other indoor sports. I served an LDS mission to Mendoza, Argentina and loved every minute of it! I am not married but have a very supportive family who I love very much! My sister is leaving for a mission in Guayaquil, Ecuador and I am so excited for her.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and thus have a strong background in the church. Although my parents played a part in exposing me to the church, it has been completely my decision to stay. I have felt the love of the Savior in my life as I keep the commandments and do my best to follow him. I know that the principles and teachings of the church are in harmony with what God wants us to know today. His prophet leads this church today. The Book of Mormon contains the truths that we all seek for so that we may have peace in our lives. The atonement of Jesus Christ, the sacrifice that he made on our behalf, makes it possible for us to return to live with our Father in Heaven. I have felt his love and forgiveness as I repent of things I have done wrong. It is a peace that I would not trade for all the riches of the world.

How I live my faith

I most recently helped in my church congregation as the secretary for a presidency that leads a group of college age men. One of the church programs we have involves we as men going out and visiting other members, both men and women, making sure that their needs are met spiritually, physically and emotionally. I receive these reports and meet with the president and his counselors and we all discuss how we can help them if they have a need. I am also one of those that goes out to visit others. I read my scriptures daily and pray often so that I keep Christ at the center of my life. I have a goal to go to our church's temple once a week where I may worship God, feel the Spirit strongly and find answers to questions I have.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Will
The most important part about being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that you believe in Jesus Christ. Don't let others make this decision for you. But I promise that if you put him in your life before all else and include him in every aspect of your life, you will feel peace. As you study his life and come to KNOW him, you will naturally want to follow him and learn more about him. The missionaries of the Church can help you fully understand what it is that Christ expects of those who desire to join his church. Christ was baptized by one who had the proper authority to do so. You too can follow his example by being baptized. You will also be able to be confirmed a member of the Church and receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost, which gift will help inspire you to continue to follow Christ your whole life. Show more Show less
