Hi I'm Kelly

I'm a Mormon and grew up in Utah.

About Me

I am a husband and father of three wonderful children. I have coached my children and watched them enjoy many activities during their childhood. I cherish those memories. I now have two grandchildren and life is truly enhanced with these wonderful grandbabies. I graduated with advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Univ. of Utah. I worked for several companies in the electronics field.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member because it helps me understand my relationship to God, why I'm here and what the future holds. The Lords gospel teaches values and morals that bring a sweetness to life. Additionally, the gospel helps me to prioritize all activities in life such that those relationship that are most important and lasting are cherished and healthy. As I studied in the field of science, the principles that I learned strengthened my faith. To the very smallest dimension, order exists and all things obey the principles of nature. This sustains my faith that there is a God over all. I know God works perfectly with the laws that govern nature. I know that God is all knowing and that all love eminates from Him. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me to better understand the attributes of God in a very personal way.

How I live my faith

Like all members, I have had many opportunities in the wards I've lived in. Each calling has given me the opportunity to grow. As we teach, work with the youth or participate in any way, we truly are the recipients - learning so much more than being a passive member. The relationships that have been developed are friendships that will last a lifetime. I love talking religion with others because it is truly the pearl of great price. Those things that are most important in ones life are easy to share. The gospel is worth any price and reading from the scriptures is such a joy!

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Kelly
I'm grateful for the scientific evidence proving that these substances are harmful to one's health but my faith told me this was true long ago. I am truly grateful to God for the guidance he gives to us in our sojourn here on Earth. It is another evidence of God's love for us, His children. Show more Show less
