Hi I'm Paul

I'm a father, husband, accountant and a surfer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 16 fulfilling years and we are raising four children. I start with this because it is my greatest joy and responsibility in life. I am an accountant, a business advisor and manage my own public practice. I also develop and invest in residential property. I enjoy balancing my life by surfing the amazing waves of the ocean (It also keeps me fit). I have been surfing my entire life and I ride a short board. Some of my children have also started surfing and we love to spend time together as a family at the ocean. I have a keen interest in travel and as a family we enjoy learning and experiencing our country and the world through our family holidays. I really enjoy life and the magnificent creation surrounding us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am converted to this church because I know and can feel our savior Jesus Christ leading and guiding it upon the earth today. This church helps me reach my full potential and experience joy and happiness through feeling my saviors love and direction. Throughout my life I have developed a close relationship with my father in heaven and savior Jesus Christ. This has developed through many experiences of feeling the spirit. Knowing there is an eternal purpose to my life is very comforting and gives me so much meaning and value to my life. To know that my family can be together forever is the most wonderful and special assurance, comfort and testimony to me (This is made possible in our Temples). Our savior Jesus Christ is my example, teacher and provided the greatest miracle ever to mankind by atoning for all people. Through his atonement we can be lifted up, healed, strengthened and comforted during trials and challenges in our lives. Having a understanding of my purpose in life and the beautiful plan a loving father in heaven has for me helps me become a better individual, father, husband and member of the community. The gospel helps me prioritize and value the things that really matter. It is a special feeling knowing that the things you develop, learn and treasure (family) will go with you throughout eternity. Having the gospel in my life helps me enjoy all that our loving father in heaven has provided. Feeling the spirit through prayer, attending church, reading and pondering scripture or being with my family or enjoying the creation is a great feeling. It is so special and comforting to have the spirit guide me throughout my life and my family as I strive to follow Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I volunteer my time in the church supporting, helping and assisting Bishops lead their congregations. I also have a direct responsibility to our members and enjoy helping or assisting them enjoy the blessings of the gospel as they follow Jesus Christ, serve in the church and the community, grow spiritually, attend the temple, experience joy and happiness, overcome life challenges, have valuable friendships, and reach their full potential. I enjoy the growth that comes to me as I serve in the church. As part of my responsibility it is rewarding to help organize service projects in the community which are carried out by all members including our youth. These include assisting local governments and councils in repairing and restoring our landscape, or helping clean, repair and improve schools, nursing homes, women shelters etc. We also find ways to assist the poor and needy. This Church, led by our savior helps me follow his example in private and in public.
