Hi I'm Eve

I enjoy volunteering in my community and laughing with my kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

l grew up skiing, hiking, dancing and playing the piano. I graduated from college with a degree in nursing and spent some time working in a nursing home. I grew up in Utah and since then have lived in Arizona, Minnesota, and Colorado. I have a passion for improving myself and becoming more self aware of the areas in my life that I want to strengthen and make better. Currently I try to spend as much time with my kids and husband, realizing that life goes so fast! I have been married 17 years and have 4 children. I also have a love for all churches and the good that they accomplish in individuals lives, as well as in the community.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have a conviction that God spoke to Joseph Smith to restore His gospel upon the earth . I have read and studied about Joseph Smith's experiences and feel he was honest in heart as he asked God for direction in his life. I have received inspiration many times from reading both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Each time I read the scriptures, I feel a strength come over me that I know is sent from God. I recognize God's help in all areas of my own life as well as my family. My prayers have been answered on many occassions. I have found that happiness in life results directly from living the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

There are numerous ways to live my faith. Some are through volunteer efforts to teach, share talents and hobbies. Other ways include study of scriptures, and praying to strengthen my own spirituality each day. I have taught lessons to youth, ages 3-12, and have been a volunteer nurse at our camp for girls ages 12-18. I visit a few women each month to see how they are doing and deliver a message to strengthen them in their faith. I attend church on Sunday, and set that day aside as a sacred time to re-charge my "spiritual battery". I've cleaned up neighborhoods, planned events and supported my own children in their youth programs through scouting, seminary class and weekly youth activities. All in all I try to be available as much as possible to help out in any way I can. I study from the scriptures often, and pray daily. I teach my children to pray and read their scriptures individually. We hold a weekly family night where we gather and spend time learning more about Jesus Christ and His gospel. The most important way I can live my faith it to apply the teachings of Jesus Christ into my own life and then strive to strengthen my family, friends, neighbors, and community members.
