Hi I'm Leroy

I'm a Real Estate Broker who owns a firm, loves to work hard, play hard and be a Father of 5 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Arizona and am a husband of 26 years, Father of 5 children and 2 grandchildren. I grew up with amazing parents who taught me the value of hard work and play and to have a "balance" in my life. I have a wonderful wife that compliments me well and supports me also. I could have not asked for better children that my wife and I have been blessed with. They understand the importance also of "balance" and making sure they make Spiritual things a priority and everything else will work out. I have a degree in Finance and have been practicing Real Estate for 24 years in which time I have taken part in watching the company grow from 6 people to almost 80 people and Commercial Properties, Inc. has become the largest locally owned Real Estate frim in Arizona. I don't want to sound "proud" but it gives me great satisfaction to see the amazing people that I am able to surround myself with each day. Even though I have been very blessed in many ways, my Family still is the very biggest highlight of my life!! I love to work hard and provide for them and spend time snowmobiling, in the mountains and other activities that we have been blessed to participate in. My biggest dream is that they appreciate these opportunities and yet remain "grounded" in what's REALLY important, and that's the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how HE impacts our life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have read, pondered and prayed to confirm that the feelings I have are real!! Being a Mormon is NOT always easy but even though we are easily misunderstood, being a Mormon is well worth it. The old saying that "nothing good in life is easy" is true. The commandments we believe in are not always easy to live, but they actually give us freedom and make our lives simpler. I can't imagine not being a "Mormon"....The Gospel of Jesus Christ is so amazing and simple. Serve others, practice what you preach, read, study and pray to have your tesimony continually strengthened. I don't feel strange but I do feel different than many people I associate with every day and being different actually feels good. Many people are unhappy and I feel that although my life is NOT easy, I can be happy every day as I do good things and live the Commandments of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try my best to live what Jesus Christ taught and what I know to be true. Am I perfect?? Absolutely not, but as I fall down I try to get up and do better. That's what I'm taught and that's what I believe. I am currently serving as a Bishop and it's a taxing calling but I have been soooo blessed it's beyond any comprehension. I have served as Young Men's President in the past, President of the adult groups (Elders Quorum) and many other callings. In each of these callings I have learned that they are sacrifices but "where much is given much is required". I feel that my Savior Jesus Christ needs me to help move His Gospel forward. I was also able to serve a Mission for the Church in Arequipa, Peru over 27 years ago. That was an amazing experience!! I have been fairly involved in supporting political leaders in the Community. I have also been involved in Real Estate organizations and events and participated in many Real Estate panel discussions. I speak to many Business leaders on a daily basis and find that many people are successful but not necessarily happy. I am extremely grateful that I know where I came from, why I'm here on the Earth and where I will go after I die. It gives me real purpose in my life. There are so many things about the Church of Jesus Christ that I could talk about for hours such as the Home Teaching Program, the Youth Programs, the Primary Program for Children, etc. etc. Even though these organizations are amazing, the most important thing is that it all is centered around Jesus Christ and trying to live our lives such that when we return to our Heavenly Father and Savior, they greet us with open hours and are proud of the way we represented them. I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and that Joseph Smith "restored" Christ's Church once again upon the face of the earth. I am so grateful that I am a small part of it and I know it to be true.......
