Hi I'm Joe

I'm a native southern Californian. I live and work in Los Angeles as a radiologist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports - basketball, soccer, tennis, golf. I like skiing, surfing, and playing the guitar. I love to see my family - I have two brothers, two sisters, 6 nieces, and 1 nephew - including an adopted niece and nephew.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true restored church of Jesus Christ. I came to know that by reading the Book of Mormon and praying to find out for myself that it is true. I love the church and its members, and being at church on Sundays is some of the best time I have during the week. Feeling close to God and His Son Jesus Christ and knowing where I can turn to find answers to life's important questions are blessings that bring me great joy! I also just love knowing that I can be together with my family not only in this life, but in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying to God every morning and every night. I spend some time reading and thinking about the scriptures every day (including the Bible and Book of Mormon). I attend church each Sunday and take the sacrament to renew the promise I made when I was baptized to always remember Christ and strive to follow Him. I try to be honest at work and in everything I do. I try to be friendly and reach out to others and help people however I can. I help to coordinate getting sports teams together from my ward (congregation) to compete with teams from other wards. I also help to fellowship and welcome those who are not members of the church and are investigating the church. I go and visit new members of the church and not so new members of the church each month to share a spiritual message with them and see if there's anything I can do to help them.
