Hi I'm Cass Coleman Pond

I grew up in a small town in Arizona. I love sport and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an eighth grade math teacher. I coach varsity boys soccer and varsity girls basketball at the high school where I live. I love to play any sport and to watch sports. I also earned my degree in Spanish. I can talk and communicate fluently in Spanish. I continually strive to be the best person that I can be.

Why I am a Mormon

The basis of my life is centered on the teachings of Jesus Christ. I was born and raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Many people believe that there is no conversion with people that were raised in the church. The interesting thing in life is that there is a point in everyone's life when they need to make a decision for themselves as to whether or not they will follow what they have been taught. For me this was the turning point in my religious life. When I was growing up, I was at an age where I was influenced by many things. It seemed as though I was happy and carefree. I soon became extremely ill. I lost all use of my muscles. I could barely walk from class to class. Suddenly life was not so happy go lucky. I then had to change how I was in my life. My pain turned to my Savior and I put all my struggles into his hands. Then is when I began to absorb my life around the scriptures and the love of the Savior. I have sought to develop a strong relationship with him and I know that he lives. I know he loves me beyond measure and it is through his atoning sacrifice that I am able to become whole again. I know that this is His church and that through the teachings that we receive daily guidance. Prayer is the best way of communication and when one is kneeling one is able to really get to know that His church is on the earth. I gained this knowledge by seeking him daily. I love him with all my heart.

How I live my faith

As a professional, I live my life in the site of members of my community. I am a teacher so I work with children every day. I also coach athletics and teach life principles with them regularly. Service is a large part of what I do as part of our church. I am a leader of the group of men in the church for our section. We participate in activities such as shooting guns, playing sports, and having pie socials. I also visit members of the church to search for needs that they may have both physically and spiritually. Example is the best teacher and I try to live me life so that those who know me would want to know the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.
