Hi I'm Russell

I enjoy running, watching football, quad riding, playing all sports, and being a husband and father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love all sports and outdoor events such as quad riding, wake boarding, snow skiing, and football. I also enjoy staying fit by running, playing sports, or going to the GYM. I am a very happily married to my high school sweetheart and father of 4 energetic and amazing boys. I love being a dad and watching them grow up and learn new things. I have recently started to get into reading and enjoy reading a wide range of topics. I lived in Colombia, South America serving the wonderful people there for two years and learned spanish which has been a very helpful tool in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and as a young boy being a member of the church was normal to me. As I grew up and went through different struggles and learning experiences in my life I found that living the gospel made it much easier to get through challenges. After I graduated high school and started preparing for a mission I decided to study the Book of Mormon thoroughly and wanted to see how it blessed my life. Through that process I gained witness that the Book of Mormon is the word of our father in heaven and that the power of prayer is real. As I gained my testimony that the book of mormon was true through scripture study and prayer I knew that spending two years of my life sharing that with others would be the best thing I could do. My mission only made my testimony stronger as I saw others in much worse situations gain a testimony of the church and were baptized. It changed their lives just like it changed mine. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ has blessed me and my family in more ways that can be described. It has made what seemed like impossible times in our lives bearable and in the end those experiences only made us stronger and know without any doubt that this Church is the true church of our father in heaven and Jesus Christ and through it we can live together for eternity as families.

How I live my faith

I try to always be an example to others by living the teachings that we learn in our church meetings. I work with members of the church to ensure they are studying and are able to comprehend the gospel of Christ. I hold the priesthood which has many responsibilities such as looking over and teaching families in their homes, blessing the sick and afflicted, and being the patriarch of my home. Service both inside and outside the church is also very important and can range from simple things like helping others in need to larger service projects. Serving others always makes you feel good about what you are doing and many times can help make the things you believe even stronger.
